We welcome your questions or suggestions regarding the Club. In the meantime, the Book Circle continues, and we receive (and usually accept!) new requests for Club membership, with the university club reciprocal agreements being the main draw. We are exploring options for Club events and member involvement during this period of renovation and hope to have some substantive activities to offer in the near future. The University is committed to upgrading the building and moving as quickly as this process will allow. These steps include a needs-assessment, plan design, hiring contractors, and the actual construction. Since the anticipated cost of renovations will be millions of dollars, each phase of the process requires approval of JHU’s Board of Trustees. What happens between now and then is, however, an arduous - and expensive - process. Let us first reassure you that the Club has been assured of its place in the renovated building. We write to give you an update on the status of the Club’s building renovations and ongoing activities.
